Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife là một trò chơi VR mới được thiết lập bên trong vũ trụ World of Darkness, theo người chơi Funky Papa trên Resetera.com. Wraith: The Oblivion - Kiếp sau được thực hiện bởi Fast Travel Games. Giám đốc sáng tạo, Erik Odelahl Wraith nói rằng trò chơi sẽ tập trung rất nhiều vào câu chuyện kể khi bạn thực hiện chiến dịch. Lấy cảm hứng từ các trò chơi như Amnesia: The Dark Descent và Alien: Isolation.

Wraith: The Oblivion - After life được mô phỏng theo trò chơi trên máy tính bảng White Wolf có cùng tên. Là một Wraith, bạn sẽ cố gắng giải quyết bí ẩn nằm ngoài Shroud - một rào cản bí ẩn ngăn cách thế giới ngầm với mọi thứ khác. Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife không phải là trò chơi mới duy nhất đến từ nhượng bản quyền The World of Darkness điển hình là các trò chơi khác trên máy tính bảng và Vampire: The Superman - Bloodlines 2.

Erik Odeldahl, Giám đốc sáng tạo của Fast Travel Games giải thích: Chúng tôi là một fan hâm mộ lớn của các trò chơi như Amnesia: The Dark Descent và Alien: Isolation, và luôn cảm thấy rằng thể loại truyện kinh dị tập trung vào khám phá này sẽ mang đến trở nên hoàn hảo cho VR. Sean Greaney, Giám đốc thương hiệu của World of Darkness tại Paradox Interactive, cho biết thêm các trò chơi  thuộc The World of Darkness, cho dù đó là máy tính bảng, trò chơi video truyền thống hay VR, cho phép chúng ta trải nghiệm một thế giới giả tưởng tối tăm trong thế giới hiện đại. Bằng cách giả định viễn cảnh của một con quái vật, chúng ta có thể hiểu rõ hơn về ý nghĩa thực sự của con người. Chúng tôi rất vui mừng khi được thực hiện những bước đầu tiên của chúng tôi từ Skinlands tới Stygia trong World of Darkness phiên bản 5 trong một phương tiện phù hợp và sáng tạo như vậy.
