Tháng năm hạnh phúc ta từng có có nội dung xoay quanh việc dọn nhà của Jean – cô gái vừa từ nước ngoài trở về sau nhiều năm học tập và làm việc. Nhận thấy ngôi nhà của mình nằm ở vị trí vô cùng phù hợp để mở văn phòng, nên Jean quyết định cải tạo ngôi nhà để biến tầng 1 trở thành văn phòng làm việc của mình, còn tầng 2 trở thành nơi sinh hoạt của cả gia đình.
