Chọn một bên và chiến đấu trong G.I. Joe: War On Cobra Xây dựng, nâng cấp và bảo vệ căn cứ của bạn trong trò chơi chiến lược nhiều người chơi, có tính cạnh tranh cao này.

Được thiết kế với ý tưởng của dòng game Clash of Clans, nơi bạn sẽ bảo vệ căn cứ của mình hoặc tấn công người chơi khác thông qua PvP.

Bạn sẽ chọn dàn nhân vật của mình, cho dù bạn muốn trở thành tư lệnh của G.I. Joe Heroes, hoặc những kẻ xấu làm việc cho Cobra Villains. Sau đó, phải chọn một bộ thẻ bài nhân vật ưng ý nhất với những đơn vị như xe tăng ,đạn pháo để tấn công căn cứ kẻ thù.

Một mặt, bạn cần quản lý cơ sở hoạt động của mình, nơi bạn xây dựng các loại tòa nhà và các yếu tố phòng thủ khác nhau. Mặt khác, nếu bạn phát động các cuộc tấn công chống lại căn cứ của kẻ thù, bạn sẽ cần quân tiếp viện từ quân đội của mình.

Sự khác biệt chính giữa G.I. Joe War on Cobra và Clash of Clans (và các tựa game tương tự khác) là trong trận chiến, bạn phải chỉ huy các đơn vị của mình. Theo nghĩa đó, trò chơi thêm một thành phần chiến lược bổ sung để bạn suy ngẫm. Chọn tòa nhà hoặc đội quân địch mà bạn muốn mỗi đơn vị của mình tấn công và sắp xếp thời gian triển khai chiến lược để chỉ huy các cuộc tấn công đặc biệt.

Sự thu hút chính của G.I. Joe: War On Cobra chính là sự xuất hiện của tất cả nhân vật trong series này, với lời thoại và hình ảnh động tái hiện lại chính xác những dòng đồ chơi từ Hasbro và mang đến tất cả các biểu tượng đặc trưng của G.I.Tuy vậy G.I. Joe: War On Cobra hoàn toàn không có gì mới đối với thị trường game chiến thuật, một thực tế có phần đáng thất vọng vì đã có rất nhiều trò chơi có cùng cơ chế như nó trên thị trường.
