Demon Blade không có cốt truyện quá phức tạp, bạn chỉ là một kiếm sĩ Nhật Bản trong quá trình thanh lọc đất nước của mình khỏi các loại yêu ma quỷ quái mà thôi.

Tất nhiên không như Kimetsu no Yaiba với những chiêu thức Hơi Thở bá đạo thì trong Demon Blade bạn chỉ có thể trông chờ vào những đường kiếm chính xác của mình mà thôi.Hệ thống chiến đấu được thiết kế phù hợp nhất cho môi trường di động khi dựa theo cơ chế lối chơi tương tự như Infinity Blade và Fruit Ninja, đó là cho game thủ giữ nguyên vị trí và chỉ tập trung vào việc thi triển đường kiếm trên màn hình.

Các mảnh áo giáp khác nhau cung cấp các chỉ số khác nhau, vì vậy bạn có thể trộn và kết hợp chúng để phù hợp hơn với lối chơi của bạn. Hoặc thu thập đủ bộ áo giáp để mở khóa ra những buff mới mạnh mẽ cho nhân vật.

Bên cạnh lối chơi mới mẻ là phần nghe nhìn khá hấp dẫn và lạ tai, hầu như khung cảnh trong game được thiết kế theo hướng cel shading vẽ tay. Bên cạnh đó các loại yêu ma được thiết kế theo truyền thuyết Nhật Bản sẽ giúp bạn hiểu hơn một phần văn hóa của đất nước này.
